Ahhhhh, this happens to me too. I hate it when you don't say a word and your mother winds herself up and ends up being mean to you without realising, and you still refuse to speak back because you know if you say something, she'll just flare up and get worse and worse, and if you leave her she'll act like everything's fine and and and... it's a bundle of confusion and frustration.
